A Rwandan company with a farmer-centered mission.

From a grassroots volunteer initiative in 2020 to a professionally registered Rwandan private company focused on soil restoration, Conservation Agriculture Plus and financial inclusion.

Restoring soils and empowering communities through conservation agriculture and financial inclusion.

BIOHARVEST SOLUTIONS Ltd is a Rwandan social enterprise dedicated to empowering farming communities across Rwanda with climate-smart agriculture and financial inclusion, delivered through Conservation Agriculture Plus (CA+) practices and Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) methodologies.

Since 2020, the company has worked hand in hand with farmers to reverse land degradation, rebuild soil fertility and strengthen food security by combining science-driven agricultural research, precision agriculture solutions, farmer-centered promotion of CA+ practices and accessible financial inclusion mechanisms.

BIOHARVEST originated from a volunteer community organization founded in 2020 by graduates of the International Paid Agriculture Exchange Program (CAEP) in the United States, who returned home to Rwanda committed to applying international knowledge of soil restoration and conservation agriculture to Rwanda's land and food security challenges.

Over five years, BIOHARVEST SOLUTIONS Ltd, a Rwandan-owned and operated company, has grown from a grassroots volunteer initiative into a professionally registered private company (Registration Number: 138751061) with a proven, on-the-ground track record of restoring degraded soils, scaling Conservation Agriculture Plus adoption, and establishing Village Savings and Loan Associations among smallholder and commercial farming communities. This trajectory positions BIOHARVEST as a trustworthy, investment-ready partner for donors and development partners seeking measurable and lasting impact.

Healthy soils producing abundant nutritious food.

BIOHARVEST envisions a Rwanda where farming communities, particularly smallholder farmers, have restored and healthy soils that produce abundant nutritious food, practice climate-smart conservation agriculture and enjoy financial security through sustainable savings and credit mechanisms.

Integrated soil restoration, climate-smart agriculture and financial inclusion.

BIOHARVEST is committed to empowering Rwandan farming communities through integrated soil restoration, climate-smart agriculture and financial inclusion.

Technical expertise grounded in local knowledge.

Our team comprises agricultural professionals, soil scientists, environmental managers, and development specialists with advanced qualifications and deep understanding of Rwanda's farming systems.

BIOHARVEST SOLUTIONS Ltd combines technical expertise and local knowledge to design soil restoration solutions that are scientifically rigorous and culturally appropriate. Our professionals have international exposure to best practices in soil conservation and precision agriculture gained through the CAEP network and ongoing research partnerships, which we adapt thoughtfully to the Rwandan context. We work hand in hand with farming communities, recognizing them as partners in restoration rather than passive beneficiaries, and design interventions based on farmer feedback and local realities.
